Congregation Ahavas Achim is a Jewish synagogue located in Highland Park, NJ. Its history spans over a century, having provided spiritual guidance and communal outreach for hundreds of residents of Middlesex County.
This year, I was asked to produce a series of flyers as well as a full schedule - both for digital and print use - to advertise the synagogue's 2021 Learn-a-Thon campaign. (A "Learn-a-Thon" is a fundraising program dedicated to spreading Jewish values, study of the Torah, and increasing awareness about the importance of spiritual growth for both individuals and communities.) I was honored and humbled to fulfill this request; Cong. Ahavas Achim is both close to my home and a center of spiritual light dear to me and my family.
I had not yet created anything visually inspiring or intriguing for any of my community's organizations, so this provided a great opportunity. Not only that, this project was the first with which I got the opportunity and challenge to prepare for print in multiple newspapers.
Thankfully, both my designs for the campaign and the fundraising goal launched successfully!
