😁If you couldn’t already tell from my illustration, I really like chocolate. I mean, really like chocolate. Like can’t live-without-it addicted to chocolate. Why? Here’s some fun facts about the deliciousness and natural health benefits that chocolate – specifically dark chocolate – provides for us humans:
🍫🔆It Naturally Enhances Your Body – Chocolate inherently contains the compounds and ingredients known as theobromine, caffeine, fat, and sugar. Theobromine = ⬆️Heart💓rate Caffeine = 😊Awake + Alert Fat = 🧪Calorie density Sugar = 😋😛Energy
🍫👃👄🧠It Feels Good When we smell or eat chocolate, our brain releases the chemical dopamine, which is known as the “feel good” chemical neurotransmitter.
🍫🦠↪️Move out the Bad, Increase the Good “Cacao beans (the fruits that contain chocolate) are full of phytonutrients, which act as antioxidants and provide additional benefits. Furthermore, cacao beans are rich sources of iron, copper, magnesium, zinc and phosphorus, according to the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health…” (As told on livescience.com)
❤️Your Heart May Thrive on it Interestingly, “…most studies have found some correlation between chocolate consumption and reduced risk of heart problems…” Based on a study reported in the journal Nutrients, it was found that when people ate two servings of chocolate per week for a certain amount of weeks, the chocolate helped protect against diabetes.
