Keep Your Friends Close; Keep Your Best Friends Closer

💭Something I’ve realized and taken advantage of, especially over the last year or so, is that having friends – and I mean good ones – around is so helpful and important.
🤟Best friends are obviously better – you can talk about anything, anytime, anywhere 🙂 Not only that, you each get to listen to each other, be patient with them, and understand their perspectives on both fun and real ‘stuff’. You can make time for each other even when it feels like it’s ‘not the right time,’ simply because you can respect each other’s time more easily and flexibly than regarding other peoples’ schedules.
👥Still, creating a small ‘community’ of friends to speak and listen to from time to time, and developing trustworthy relationships with those people, is a great challenge that ultimately pays off for both you and the others in that community.
😁When life feels great, reach out to someone you consider a good friend. 😑When life feels weird, reach out again. 😓When life feels like garbage, definitely reach out.
📅✅Make time for these things this weekend, even if you think you’re too busy. (Personally, I try to set aside at least one day a week to talk on the phone with a friend)
👌Whether they are physically around or not, great friends make all the difference.
✌🧡Have a great weekend of friendship and love.
