Is there a light at the end of the tunnel?

Sometimes, life feels like a burden. Like a brick on your shoulders. Like an endless, dark, lifeless tunnel. Sometimes, tragedy hits either ourselves, a relative, friend, or fellow person, and you hear about it and it rips you apart. You throw up your hands in sadness and ask yourself, “Is there a reason for me to live right now? Why did _x_ happen to me? Why did _y_ issue befall someone else?” “Is there a light at the end of the tunnel? Cause I don’t see it.” Sometimes, I have no idea how to move forward, what message to take from these tragedies and issues and problems that happen. One thing I do know. I am still alive and around. So are you. That means G-d is giving you – yes YOU – an opportunity to send support to someone else, even if you don’t know or don’t think that person needs it. Do yourself a favor and perform something good. Do kindness for yourself. Do it for others. Do it for the sake of G-d. For the sake of life. Because that’s what your contribution to others and the world brings: life. Do what others did not get the chance to do. It might sound cliche, but it’s worth it. Seriously. Try it. Try your best. Take a breath, understand and acknowledge that the present situation is difficult, and then do your best.

There is light at the end of the tunnel. Sometimes, it’s just that much harder to see it. Look for it. Search for it within yourself. Cherish it. Once you get it, spread the light to others. Wishing health, growth, presence of mind, and peace within you and amongst everyone around you.
